Animating along a path

Select with V the drawing that will move, up to 64 objects, on a visible and unlocked layer. Go to the frame where the motion starts, before frame 600.

Open Animation → Motion path. Click on the stage to mark each destination, up to 64 points, and drag a point to adjust it. Delete removes the selected point.

In the strip above the stage, set the Motion path end frame; by default it is one second after the start. Curve the path between points makes the route smooth between the points, and Rotate the drawing along the path makes the object follow the direction.

Play the preview on the stage to check it. Enter applies; Esc cancels.

To adjust it later, select the drawing and open Motion path again. If the motion has received other edits, duplicate the drawing to create a new path without overwriting them.
