Shapes, fills and outlines
Create rectangles, ellipses, lines, arrows, polygons and stars.

Open the Shapes toolbar group. R selects Rectangle, O selects Ellipse and N selects Line.
Drag on the canvas. Shift constrains shapes and directions. Set polygon sides or star points in the tool strip.
Choose fill and outline colors in Appearance. The outline also has width, cap and join settings. Use V to select the interior and outline separately, or select both to transform the whole shape.
